Dr. Tom Collins is a Professor of Pediatrics in Cardiology and Vice Chair of Faculty and Academic Affairs at the University of Kentucky. He is an authority in cardiovascular abnormalities in Williams syndrome and genetically mediated aortopathies. His research spans basic science to clinical studies, focusing on congenital heart disease. A longstanding student of leadership, he also holds an M.S. in Leadership and conducts leadership research. He developed the Leadership/Management Concept Scale that differentiates the two concepts.

His recent research has focused on the leadership wisdom of Four-Star Generals and Admirals, for which he interviewed 51 Four-Star officers, resulting in his soon-to-be-released book, The Four Stars of Leadership. He is also the host of The Science of Leadership podcast, designed to equip listeners with the skills and wisdom needed to lead with confidence and impact.
